Explanation

I realized that I wrote all about the fact that we couldn't drink beer for about 28 hours but I forgot to tell you why! There was an election taking place and the people in Thailand were to vote for a new governor. No beer was to be served to try to prevent people from overindulging and then not being in their right mind to cast their vote. Interesting, isn't it? Well, there was nothing stopping anyone from drinking liquor... but still, many pubs were closed on Saturday night.
